Grace Bray

Grace Hudson Bray, age 84 of the Coleytown CGrace Hudson Bray, age 84 of the Coleytown Community in Macon County, Tn, passed away Monday afternoon, June 22, 2026 at Macon Community Hospital.
Funeral Services for Grace Hudson Bray will be conducted Friday afternoon, June 26, 2026 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Shawn Shoulders officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Trent Cook, DeWayne Cook, William Tuck, Larry Bray, Fred H. Smith, Greg Dickens served as pallbearers.
Grace Hudson Bray was born April 26, 1942 in Jackson County, TN, a daughter born to the late Lonnie Oscar & Margaret “Maggie” Hawkins Hudson and departed this life June 22, 2026 at the age of 84 years, 1 month, and 27 days. Grace was the 8th child born in a family of 10 siblings. She married Harry Lee Bray on February 3rd 1962. To this union was born two sons, Gary Lee Bray & Jeffrey Alan Bray.
In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Elise Harris & Mary Ellen Owens and her brothers, Willard, Junior, Joel & Frank Hudson.
She was employed at Formfit Rogers for over 28 years. She helped Harry on the farm, helping to care for their herd of Hereford Cattle as well as caring for their family. She enjoyed reading. She read books, magazines, and newspapers, almost anything she could get her hands on. She enjoyed sewing and piecing quilt tops. She did count cross stitch stitching of most of Thomas Kincades paintings.
She was a good cook, one of the greatest pleasures was fixing special meals for her family. She was encouraged to write a cookbook, but she preferred giving her recipes to family and friends. She was a friendly outgoing person who loved people, especially children and the elderly. She always had a smile on her face.
She loving cared for her disabled husband for many years until his death in 2015.
She was saved by the Grace of God as a young girl. She joined Long Fork Missionary
Baptist Church several years later where she remained a faithful member until her death.
Survivors include: Sons, Gary Bray & Jeff Bray of the Coleytown Community, Brothers, Roger Dale Hudson of Smyrna, Prentice Wayne Hudson of Louisville, KY, Sister, Rita Ruth Hudson of Arizona.
