Community to Honor Local Heroes: Veterans Day Parade and Celebration Nov. 11

Macon County will come together on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, to honor those who have served our nation during the annual Veterans Day Parade and Celebration. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. on the Courthouse Square in Lafayette, Tennessee.

The day will open with a ceremony recognizing the dedication and sacrifice of all U.S. veterans. Following the ceremony, a parade will make its way through town, with all veterans invited to participate and ride.

The parade will conclude at Key Park, where a community meal will be provided. Attendees will also hear from a keynote speaker as part of a special program commemorating two significant milestones in American history — the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War and the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Event organizer Quinn Marlow encourages everyone to attend and show their appreciation for those who have served.

“This day is about honoring the men and women who have given so much for our country,” Marlow said. “We invite the entire community to come out, enjoy the celebration, and say thank you to our veterans.”
