L.C. Hall, 79
L.C. Hall, age 79 of the Green Grove Community in Macon County, TN, died on Feb. 4 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for L.C. Hall were conducted Sun. from the Willard Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Jerry Gammon, and Elder Jimmy Cox officiating. The grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
Patrick Thomas, Daniel Tidwell, Jeffrey Holt, Lewis Ownby, Johnie Holland, Ryan Jones, Starsky Cornell, and Jeffery Cornell served pallbearers. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery. L. C. Hall was born on July 4, 1930 in Macon County, TN., to his parents; the late J. Huel and Nettie Parker Hall. As a young man, L.C. married the former Della Mai Ray on April 16, 1955 sharing forty-eight years together and raising nine children; Della preceded him in death on July 8, 2003. Besides his wife and parents; son, Charlie Hall, daughter, Penny Tidwell, grandson, Steven Pollard, sister, Selma Shoulders, and brother, Earl Hall, also preceded him in death. He was a hard working man, putting in long hours farming and working for T.V.A. as an iron worker for most of his life, before retiring in 1989. L.C. enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting deer or turkey, just going out with his family and friends made him happy. He was a father that provided for his family and cherished his time with them. L.C. was saved at age thirty-eight in bed and joined the church shortly after. He was a long time member of Willard Missionary Baptist Church and a Deacon since 1981. L.C. will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is lovingly survived by; sons, J.C. and wife Tina Hall of Green Grove Community in Macon County, TN, Danny and wife Priscilla Hal, and David Hall all of Lafayette, TN, daughters, Judy and husband Hank Pollard of Lebanon, TN, Tammy and husband Hubert Jones of Westmoreland, TN, Emily Hall of Red Boiling Springs, TN, and Amy and husband Johnnie Holland of Lafayette, TN, brother, Earnest Hall of Hartsville, TN, sister-in-law, Gracie Hall of Lafayette, TN, twenty-two grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren, also survive.
