Mobile Disaster Center to Arrive in Macon County
FEMA’s mobile disaster recovery center (DRC) is scheduled to arrive in Macon County and set up at the Macon County Administrative building.
Mobile DRCs are temporary locations where survivors can meet in person with federal agencies (FEMA & SBA) to get help with disaster recovery
At a DRC, you can receive face-to-face assistance for several recovery tasks:
• Apply for Assistance: Get help filling out your application for Individual Assistance.
• Case Status Updates: Check the progress of your existing application and resolve issues.
• Submit Documents: Staff can help you scan and upload required paperwork.
• Specialist Consultations: Speak with Small Business Administration (SBA) loan officers or hazard mitigation specialists.
Hours of operation for the DRC are as follows.
Monday, May 11, 2026 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, May 12, 2026 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, May 13, 2026 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, May 14, 2026 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, May 15, 2026 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, May 16, 2026 – 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
About FEMA Individual Assistance (IA)
Survivors in the 29 designated counties named in the disaster declaration are eligible to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance. Macon County was one of the 29 Counties.
Individual Assistance can help eligible survivors with disaster-related expenses such as
temporary housing assistance, home repairs, replacement of essential personal property, and other disaster related needs.
Survivors in the designated counties who sustained damage from Winter Storm Fern are
encouraged to apply for assistance through FEMA.
Tennesseans can apply for FEMA IA by:
• Visiting an in-person Disaster Recovery Center or Mobile Disaster Recovery Center
• Visiting DisasterAssistance.gov
• Calling 800-621-3362
• Using the FEMA app
