PATSY GAIL BATES, 61

PATSY GAIL BATES of Lafayette, Tennessee, died on February 17, 2010 at the age of 61.  Funeral services for Patsy Gail Bates were conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Stevie Reece officiating. Brian Johnson, Darrel Graves, William Sloan, Phillip Bates, Johnny Lamb, and Bobby Reece served as pallbearers.  Interment followed in the Lafayette City Cemetery.

  Patsy Gail Bates departed this life on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the age of 61.
She was born on November 2, 1948 in Macon County, Tennessee, to her parents; the late Wilburn “Cotton” and Ardelia Reece Lamb. Besides her parents, one sister, Betty Jo Harper, also preceded her in death.  As a young woman, she was married for a time and raised two sons and two daughters. She was a homemaker, but enjoyed being outdoors and taking long walks. Patsy was a loving and caring mother, who cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. Patsy was saved at the age of fifteen and went to New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by; daughters, Tina Renee and husband Darrel of Lafayette, TN, and Tonya Diane and husband William Sloan of Scottsville, KY, sons, Phillip Wayne and wife Samantha Bates and Anthony Shane and wife Melissa Bates all of Lafayette, TN, twelve grandchildren, and one step grandchild; also survives.
