Macon County girls tied for third with David Lipscomb with 84 points. The tie was broken with the results of the 6th runner. David Lipscomb finished in 3rd place, Macon County in 4th. The top 3 teams advance to the State Meet.
“Our girls ran well, led by Freshman Katie Swindle in 3rd place and Senior Mackenzie Painter in 10th, who both qualified for the State Cross Country Meet. The top 5 scorers were rounded out by Freshman Jasmine Chaparro, 20th, Sophomore Terra Pryor, 34th, and Junior Meerim Talipova in 37th. Sophomore Katie Hix, who has been battling an injury most of the season finished in 47th, and Freshman Casandra Wilson continued to improve with a 60th place finish. The girls raced more today rather than just running.”
“The boys were led by the 7th place finish of Junior Andrew Emberton. Senior Taylor Boxold, still recovering from an appendectomy back in September finished in 29th place, while Freshman Mason Doss finished in 30th.Seth Smith finished in 38th, Jordan Kemp 62nd, Corey Eden 80th, and Dylan Sexton 95th.”
