County Boys and Girls Golf In Action
The MCHS golf team hosted White House High School, Westmoreland High
School and RBS High School golf teams at the Macon County Golf Course.
The MCHS boys were victorious scoring
142; White House High School 178; Westmoreland High School 178; and RBS 213.
MCHS individual scores were Collin Linville 33 (2 under par), Zach Polston 36,
Larken Whittemore 36, Ian Whittemore 37, Trey Reid 37, Austin Williams 38, Ryan
Thompson 38, Trenton Duffer 39 and Kurtis Butcher 42. RBS boys individuals were
Cameron Wilson 49, Bailey Chapman 51, Spencer Tuck 55, Ethan Norman 58 and Cody
Gravens 60.
The MCHS girls were also victorious. MCHS posted 76; RBS 102; Whitehouse
136. MCHS Girls individuals were Kaleigh Chitwood 37, Kailtin Cartwright 39,
Savannah Knight 40, Lauren Gammons 43, Leah Johnson 46 and Delaney Johnson 53.
The RBS girls individuals were Victoria Rich 46, Mackenzie Comer 56, Marina
Evans 58, Savannah Green 59 and Samantha Snow 60.
On 8/16/11 MCHS traveled to Mt Juliet TN to take on Friendship Christian
School. The match was held at Pine Creek
Golf Course. MCHS boys scored 145 to Friendship Christians 151. MCHS boys
individual scores were Zach Polston 35 (1 under par), Collin Linville 36, Ian
Whittemore 37, Austin Williams 37, Ryan Thompson 38, Larken Whittemore 39, Trey
Reid 40, and Trenton Duffer 42. The MCHS girls posted 81. Friendship Christian
did not have a girls team. MCHS Girls individual were Kaitlin Cartwright 40,
Lauren Gammons 41, Kaleigh Chitwood 42 and Savannah Knight 43.
On 8-17-11 the MCHS golf team traveled to Springfield, TN to take on
White House on the Legacy Golf Course. The boys posted 155 while White House
posted 184. Boys individual scores were Zach Polston 37, Collin Linville 39,
Ian Whittemore 39, Larken Whittemore 40, Trenton Duffer 44, Kurtis Butcher 45,
Ryan Thompson 47, Austin Williams 48 and Trey Reid 51.
The MCHS girls posted 79 to White House’s
135. Individual girls scores were Kaitlin Cartwright 37, Kaleigh Chitwood 42,
Lauren Gammons 46, Savannah Knight 47, Leah Johnson 50 and Delaney Johnson 53.
