The Macon County Junior High
Cross Country teams competed in the State Championships hosted by the Knoxville
Track & Field Club in Knoxville this past weekend.
The girls had two individuals competing. Maddy Miller finished 151st
with a time of 15:32 and Kaylee Bean finished 187th with a time of
16:05. There were 272 girl runners.
The MCJHS Boys team placed 18th out of 23 teams in the state.
Times were: Carson Cunningham (70th)13:12, Connor Chaparro (74th)
13:13, Grant Towns(118th) 13:36, Issac Wakefield (217th)
14:36, Cole Dziekiewicz (236th) 15:16, Jacob Sewell (241st)
15:42, Eric Davis (248th) 16:12, Gavin Lamb 17:01, and Kannon West
20:27. There were 256 total runners in the boys division.
