The Macon County Junior High Tigers opened their basketball season this week. They split a pair of games at home against Trousdale County and Mt. Juliet.

On Tuesday October 30th MCJHS hosted Jim B. Satterfield Middle from Trousdale County. In the girls game, MCJHS came out fast scoring 10 points and only allowing Trousdale three shots. After the first period the score was 10-2. Action heated up in the second as Macon had all five of their starters scoring and they led 26-2. The Tigerette defense proved too much and they went on to win by a final score of 44-2. Macon went 21 of 45 from the field and did not record a single three pointer.
