Johnson to Take Over as MCHS Principal

The Macon County School District announced on its Facebook page Monday, July 27, that Ben Johnson will be taking over as principal at Macon County High School for the 20-21 School Year. 

 

According to Director of Macon County Schools Tony Boles, the vacant principal position, formerly held by BJ West, had two applicants. 

Mr. Johnson is originally from Dekalb County but has been the assistant principal at Trousdale County High School in Hartsville, Tennessee, for the last eight years. 

During that time he has also served as the school’s instructional leader and teaching coordinator.

Director Boles explained that Johnson will be finishing up his duties at Trousdale County High and meeting with faculty there before jumping into his new position full-time at MCHS. 

“I am glad to have Mr. Johnson join the Macon County School System, and I look forward to working with him,” said Boles.
