By Jessie Williams

Three women and one man were arrested on numerous drug charges following reports of a possible fight taking place inside their Bratton Ave. apartment.

According to the report drafted by Lafayette Police Department Patrolman Jason Sells, he responded to the Main Street Apartment complex on August, 31 after dispatch received a call about the possible altercation.

Once at the residence, the officer spoke with two female subjects, 35-year-old Judy Jones and 43-year-old Tabitha Graves. A third woman, 24-year-old Brittany Goodman, and 49-year-old Marty Johns showed up later.

A consent to search the apartment was given and the following items were found in two bedrooms, the living room and the kitchen area – approximately 6.25 grams of crystal meth mixed with Fentanyl, 4 Gabapentin pills, 18 Amoxicillin pills, approximately 1.5 cc of liquid methamphetamine in three separate loaded hypodermic needles, 24 spoons with residue, a cut straw with residue, 45 small plastic baggies, a digital scale containing residue, two used meth pipes, two small spoons with residue and rolling papers.

There was also a loaded .38 Special Revolver found in the residence. The gun was found near a hypodermic needle loaded with methamphetamine and contained six rounds of ammunition. Mr. Johns admitted to police that the firearm was his.

All four subjects admitted they were staying at the residence, which was located approximately 960 feet from a preschool.

Graves, Jones and Goodman were charged with mfg/del/poss. of meth, manufacturing narcotics, simple possession, possession of legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and drug-free school zone violation.

Johns was charged with all of the above along with possession of a firearm during a violent felony.

Their bonds were set at $82,000, and they are scheduled to appear in general sessions court on October 7.
