The Macon County High School Tigerettes advanced to the region tournament this past week.
On Tuesday Oct 4th in the first round of district play, Macon defeated White House in four sets by scores of: 25-16, 24-26, 25-23, and 25-21. Greenley Claiborne and Journey Beasley had six aces while Allie Thompson and Ellie Coley had 19 and 18 kills respectively.
This would put Macon in the championship game in the district tournament on Thursday night Oct 6th against Liberty Creek. The Tigerettes would lose in four sets by scores of: 24-26, 14-24, 25-13, and 23-25. Kenna Wyatt had 29 digs and Cadence Carter had 14 assists.
At the final game All-District and All-Tournament players were announced. For the regular season Ellie Coley, Cadence Carter and Kenna Wyatt were selected All-District and Allie Thompson was selected MVP of the district. For the tournament Wyatt, Coley, and Journey Beasley were selected All-Tournament.
With the runner-up finish, Macon would advance to the region tournament and face Creekwood High School on Oct 11th at 4:30 pm.
