Four Arrested in Large Meth Bust

The Macon County Sheriff’s Office, along with the 15th Judicial Drug Task Force and the 18th Judicial Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant on December 3, 2025 at a residence on Amos Circle following a four-month long investigation.
Deputies and agents located approximately 335 grams of methamphetamine and additional evidence related to ongoing drug activity.
Forty-five-year-old Julia Ann Clower, 29-year-old Michael Dewayne Hughes, 42-year-old Tommy Lee Overby and 35-year-old Katie Beth Hudson were arrested for their involvement in the case.
According to reports written by 15th Judicial Drug Task Force agents each of the individuals were found inside the residence with varying narcotics and/or drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Hughes was located inside the residence in a bathroom attached to the master bedroom. While searching the master bathroom there was a clear cooking dish. Inside of the clear dish was a large quantity of a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine. Also located in the bedroom was a set of large digital scales and multiple empty baggies. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $50,000
Mr. Overby was located inside the residence with a clear smoking pipe in his person that contained white residue inside of it. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and his bond was set at $5,500
Ms. Clower was located inside the residence in a bedroom. Laying on the floor of the bedroom was a clear baggie containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine (approximately 13 grams). Also located laying on floor of the bedroom was an orange pill in a clear baggie that Ms. Clower stated was Suboxone. She was charged with manufacture/delivery or possession of Methamphetamine and simple possession. Her bond was set at $20,000.
Ms. Hudson was located inside the residence with a large quantity (approximately 300 grams) of a white crystal substance was located inside of her purse. Located inside of Katie’s bedroom was a clear glass cooking dish containing a large quantity of a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine. Also located in Katie’s bedroom was a large set of digital scales as well as multiple empty baggies. She was charged with manufacture/delivery/or possession of Methamphetamine (for resale) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $100,000.
All four individuals are scheduled to appear in general sessions court on December 17, 2025.
