Peggy Carver Kirby, age 89 of Lafayette, TN passed away Saturday morning, May 23, 2026 at the Signature Health Care in South Pittsburgh, TN.

Funeral Services for Peggy Carver Kirby will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, May 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Lanny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.

Peggy Carver Kirby was born July 30, 1936 in Gainesboro, Tennessee, a daughter born to the late Parents, Cordell & Nolie Newberry Carver and departed this life May 23, 2026 at the age of 89 years, 9 months, and 23 days.

Peggy married the love of her life, Connie “Coney” Kirby, on December 24, 1954. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2018. They shared over 63 wonderful years together. Peggy worked as a cook and spent most of her working years at the former Formfit Rogers. She loved cooking whenever she had the opportunity and was known for caring for others through the meals she prepared. A faithful Christian woman, Peggy was a member of the Church of Christ and attended both Walton’s Chapel Church of Christ and Lafayette Church of Christ.

Survivors include: Son, Tony Kirby of Lafayette, TN; Grandson, Logan Kirby of Bowling Green, KY; Sister-in-law, Charmayne Carver of Henryville, IN; host of nieces and nephews.
