In just a few short days the Macon County Fairgrounds will come to life once again for the 40th Annual Macon County Fair, August 1-6.

Macon County officers have begun training on the department’s newly acquired drones with practice flights. 

Macon County Sheriff’s Office K9 Otto has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.  K9 Otto’s vest was sponsored by Michael Lanza of Ocala, FL and embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”.

On July 11, 2022 the Macon County Sheriff’s Office received an indictment warrant from Monroe County, Kentucky, on Lafayette resident, 33-year-old Ryan Carnahan.
