    The Macon County Jr. High girls volleyball team played Portland on Tuesday afternoon, September 13th, at home. They captured the first match with Portland East, with scores of 25-20 and 25-20, but the Junior High fell short during the second match with Portland West scoring 25-12 and 25-15.

  By  Tim Case   On Friday September 2nd , the MCHS Tigers faced its first district opponent of the season as they played the defending state runner-up Goodpasture Cougars.  Both team’s offenses were unstoppable.

  By Mark Darnell   On Saturday September 10th, 2011 the MCHS Cross Country Team competed in the 11th Annual Chickasaw Trails Invitational at the Oakville Indian Mounds Park & Educational Center in Oakdale Alabama.

  By Mark Darnell   On 9/8/11 the MCHS Golf Team hosted Friendship Christian School and Red Boiling Springs for the last home match of the season.

    On Thursday September 8th the Macon County Junior High faced Gordonsville in a game which was postponed from earlier in the week. The Junior Tigers defeated Gordonsville by a score of 42-8 in the contest.

By Tim Case    On Thursday September 2 the MCJH traveled to Smithville to take on the DeKalb Middle School Saints.  The Tigers got back on a winning track by defeating the Saints 22-0.
