DERRICK WAYNE MEADOR, 31

DERRICK WAYNE MEADOR, age 31, of Lafayette, passed away early Sunday, August 22, at Trousdale Medical Center in Hartsville from injuries sustained from an automobile accident.  He is the son of Bruce and Teresa Meador of Lafayette, TN.  Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Tony Whittemore officiating.  Jeff Tone, Billy Bandy, Steven Reed, Donnie Likens, Dewayne Harp, and Tracy Brawner served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Haysville Cemetery.

He was born on September 26, 1978 in Sumner County, Tennessee to Bruce Wayne and Teresa Darlene Thompson Meador.  
Derrick worked as a roofer. He was very talented; he could speak three languages and was a good artist. Sitting down with a pad and pencil drawing passed a lot of time for him. As a young boy he liked to go fishing. Derrick was always on the go whether hanging out with friends or being with his little girl. He cared greatly for his family and loved being a dad to Emma Nicole; she was his life.
At the age of thirteen, Derrick was saved at New Zion General Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading his Bible and could quote a lot of the scriptures. Derrick will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by; parents, Bruce and Teresa Meador of Lafayette, TN, daughter, Emma Nicole Meador of Jefferson City, TN, brothers, Danny and wife Felicia Meador of Red Boiling Springs, TN, and Darrell Meador of Lafayette, TN, grandparents, Erma Gladys
Todd of Lafayette, TN, and Harold and Rachell Wix of Celina, TN, also survive.
