Funeral Services for Mary Earlene Ray were conducted on Tuesday, February 8th, at 11 a.m. with Elder Glen Brawner and Elder Eddie Gregory officiating.

Friendship Church Members served as Honorary Pallbearers. Mickey Ray, Jerry Wrinkle, Tony Wrinkle, Robert Ray, Terry Ray, and Chris Sanders served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Sunrise Cemetery. Mary was born in Smith County, Tennessee on January 8, 1956 to the late Paul Winford and Dovie Irene Moore Ray. Besides her parents; brothers, Billy Wayne Ray, Roy Neil Ray, and Lonnie Ray, and two infant brothers, Pauley Lee Ray and Charlie Lee Ray, also preceded her in death. She worked in different factories in the Macon County area for over twenty-five years. Mary was married as a young lady and had two children by this union that she loved dearly. Her extra time was spent with her grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. She loved to play softball and even served as a coached for awhile. Being an avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching Dale Earnhardt and Nascar Racing, Pat Summit and the Lady Vols. Mary loved to support her local Tigers Football team, also. She was saved and joined Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by; son, Jason (Melissa) Reeves of Lafayette, TN, daughter, Ronda (Salvador) Paredes of the Siloam Community, granddaughters, Aundrea, Hannah, Shayla, and Elissa, grandsons, Salvador, Gracen, Isaiah, and Christofer, Brothers, Glenn (Sharon) Ray, and Ronnie Ray all of Lafayette, TN, sisters, Olyne (Chester) Wrinkle of Hartsville, TN, and Reba Stevens of Lafayette, TN, sister-in-law, Betty Ray of the Cato Community in the Troudale County, TN, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
