Junell Vaughn Hooten, age 63, of the Haydenburg Community in Jackson County, TN passed away Thursday evening, May 26, 2011 at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral Services for Junell Vaughn Hooten were conducted Sunday afternoon, May 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Anderson & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Red Boiling Springs, TN with O’Neal Huffines officiating. Interment followed in the Leonard Cemetery.
Dale Vaughn, Terry Vaughn, Danny Vaughn, Chris Chyle, Patrick Mayo, Wayne Capps, and Rocky Hooten II served as pallbearers. Junell Vaughn Hooten was born Sunday March 7, 1948 in Barren County, Kentucky, one of ten siblings born to the late Albert & Helen Knight Vaughn. On May 31, 1963, she married Jimmy Hooten, who survives. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Stafford and Diania Matthews, brothers, Billy and Dean Vaughn. Junell was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors besides her husband, Jimmy include: daughter & son-in-law, Sheila & Patrick Huffines, Bullards Creek Community, son & daughter-in-law, Terry & Cindy Hooten, Adolphus, KY, granddaughter, Alicia Hooten, Lafayette, grandson, Christopher (Lauren) Stafford, Haydenburg Community, step-granddaughter, Shawna Barnes, Adolphus, KY, great-granddaughter, Lily Hooten, Lafayette, sisters, Linda Hooten, Callie Davis, Roberta Vaughn brothers & sister-in-law, Dale & Ethel Vaughn, Gerald Vaughn all of Red Boiling Springs.
