Minnie Claris Jent, 99

 Minnie Claris Jent, of Lafayette, TN was born on Thursday, May 9, 1912, in Macon County, Tennessee, to the late Burton F. and Mary Etta (Caruthers) Hire. She departed this life on Saturday evening, May 28, 2011 at the age of 99 at her residence in Knollwood Manor. Funeral services for Ms. Jent were conducted on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with her grandson, Dr. Wayne Jenkins officiating. Family members served as Pallbearers.

 On January 4, 1929, she was united in marriage to Delmer T. Jent, who preceded her in death on July 2, 1992. In addition to her parents and her husband of 63 years, she was preceded in death by her only son, Olin Jent, a grandson, Timothy Lee Holder and two infant siblings. Ms. Claris was a very industrious business woman having co-owned and operating several retail clothing stores with her husband and other partners during her younger years, including Lafayette Dry Goods and Hire & Jent Clothing in Carthage. She was a member of the Lafayette Church of Christ. Ms. Claris will be remembered as a loving, caring person and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She and her husband were known for helping those in need. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, June (Ben) Holder of Lafayette, TN, Annetta (Don) Jenkins of Murfreesboro, TN, grandchildren, Brenda (Randy) Napier, Buddy (Lynette) Jent, James Holder, Doug (Denise) Holder, Bob (Janet) Holder, Dr. Wayne (Susan) Jenkins, Lynette (Tommy) Mason, Gina (Greg) Moore, and Therese (Brian) Rice, great-grandchildren, Amy (John) Rochford, Kristin (Darren) Fryer, Adam Jent, Jordon Jent, Jason Holder, Joni Holder, Nicholas Holder, Shawnna (Josh) Curtis, Leeann (John) Holder-Rogers, Brian (Kelly) Jenkins, Andrea Jenkins, Peyton Jenkins, Erica Moore, Leah Moore, Alicia Moore, Kasey Rice, and Eric Rice,  great-great-grandchildren, Kira Lynn Rogers and Matthew Elliot Rochford.
