RBS Picks-Up Fifth Win of Season
The Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs pick up their fifth win of the season over the Clay County Bulldogs.
They roll with a 49-0 shutout victory.
RBS scored first as Logan Hewitt had a pick six 36 yard interception. Joey Medrano added the PAT to give RBS a 7-0 lead. Hewitt added a 3 yard TD run and Medrano added the extra point to make it 14-0. A late defensive stand by Red Boiling Springs kept the shut-out intact at the half.
In the 3rd quarter Hewitt hit Ramsey Al-Barkawi on a 26 yard pass for a score. Medrano’s kick made it 21-0. Billy York had a pick six for RBS and Medrano’s kick made it 28-0. Rodney Pruitte added a 14 yard scoring run late in the 3rd quarter and Medrano converted the extra point for a 35-0 lead. Jordan Powell had a 1 yard run for RBS and Medrano’s kick made it 42-0. The final score for RBS came on a 35 yard fumble recovery by Mason Hewitt. Red Boiling Springs has one of the most complete performances in all phases of the game and win by a final score of 49-0.
Rodney Pruitte led all rushers with 72 yards and one score on 10 carries. Justin Bergdorff had 11 carries for 60 yards and Jordam Powell had 6 carries for 56 yards and 1TD. Ramsey Al-Barkawi had 1 catch for 26 yards and a score. Quarterback Logan Hewitt was 1 for 2 passing for 26 yards for 1TD and added 3 carries for 9 yards and another score.
Red Boiling Springs will host Trousdale County next Friday night at the Dawg Pound. Game time is scheduled for a 7 pm kick-off.
