Tigerettes Fall to DeKalb County

The Macon County Tigerettes were beaten by the DeKalb County Lady Tigers on Good Friday.


On a cold dreary day Macon lost 1-10.

DeKalb scored two runs in the 1st inning and 1 run in the 2nd. The Tigerettes got on the board with back-to-back doubles by Keeley Clariday and Jenna Russell. DeKalb would plate three more runs in the 3rd, three runs in the 4th, and one run in the 6th. Macon would only muster three more base runners past the 4th inning.

Cidney Woodard records the loss pitching 2 1/3 innings, giving up 5 hits, and 5 runs. Jade Young came on and pitched 4 2/3 innings in relief. Russell went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI while Clariday went 1 for 3 and scored the lone run.

The Tigerettes are scheduled to play only one game during spring break. The will make the dreaded trek to York to take on the Lady Dragons on Mar 28th at 4:30 pm.
