Macon XC competes in Southern Showcase
The Macon County High School and Junior High School Cross Country teams traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to compete in the Southern Showcase against teams from ten different states east of the Mississippi river.
For the Junior High Boys in the two mile run, they recorded the following times: Ryan Alvis 17:29, Andrew Blackwood 19:34, Jacob Eakles 13:41, Dakota Hackert 13:57, Brayden Leftrick 12:03, Ace Meador 13:44, Cole Peterson 23:18, Landon Presley 13:49, Caden Presley 12:41, Easton Sadler 16:22, Brantley Trent 17:11, Gage Willis 13:52, and Troy Wix 14:34.
In the girls two mile race Macon recorded the following times: Peyton Benge 17:41, McKenna Centers 15:38, Kyra Cothron 22:28, Saddie Gammon 24:10, Haeley Gibbs 19:52, Sydney Green 16:24, Abby Hire 26:01, Chloe Osborne 19:19, Mollie Rearick 26:11, and Addison Whittemore 16:02.
In the 5K event for the high school, runners and teams were put into different classes of races. For this event on Milesplit.com, it was not possible to see which runners competed in which races. Therefore you will see times and places finished which were recorded in different events. Macon County recorded the following times and finishes: Isaac Kirby (108) 16:26.06, Matthew Evans (174) 18:14.17, Lukas Pharris (52) 18:38.12, Evan Groesbeck (78) 18:59.03, John Carter Wilson (304) 21:08.25, Parker Whittemore (387) 22:06.89, Collin Morgan (414) 22:38.51, Jayden Moore (436) 23:22.62, Noah Barber (457) 24:05.38, Zach Presley (510) 26:54.84, and Coby Smith (521) 29:40.44.
The MCHS girls recorded the following times: Laykin Ellis (49) 21:22.04, Aubrie Ward (157) 22:43.17, and Alexia Reed (132) 24:56.02.
