Richie Dewayne Bergdorf, age 60 of Lafayette, TN passed away Wednesday evening, April 1, 2026 his residence.

Funeral Services for Richie Dewayne Bergdorf were conducted Saturday afternoon, April 4, 2026 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Reverend Pete Freeman and Shane Lenning officiating. Interment followed in the Lafayette City Cemetery. Logan Bergdorf, Rooster Jones, Vic Donoho, Randy Carnahan, Jesse McCain, & Andy Jordan served as pallbearers.

Richie Dewayne Bergdorf was born August 1, 1965 in Lafayette, TN, a son born to the late H.L. & Lucy May (Reid) Bergdorf. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Don Gregory. Richie worked for the City of Lebanon in public services and utilities. Outside of his career, Richie was known for his love of sports, especially his unwavering support for the University of Tennessee. A devoted Volunteers fan, he rarely missed an opportunity to watch a game, cheer on his team, and share that passion with family and friends.

Survivors include: Daughter, Kayla Deeann Bergdorf, Sisters, Janice Gregory, Rita Jones & husband, Jeremy Sauseda, Brothers, Charlie Bergdorf & wife, Laura, Chris Bergdorf & wife, Patty, Aunt, Della Mae Gunter, Uncle, H.N. “Pete” Reid, 3 Grandchildren, Blakelyn Wright, McKenzie Martin & Mia Martin, several nieces and nephews.
