Janet H. Tucker, age 95 of the Lafayette, Tn, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 24, 2026 at Knollwood Manor.

Funeral Services for Janet H. Tucker will be conducted Monday morning, June 29, 2026 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Pastor Ron Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Jeff Burrow, John Bryant, Allan Frio, Newton Harris, Casey Franklin, and Tony Wilson served as pallbearers.

Janet H. Tucker was born April 19, 1931 in Hartsville, TN, a daughter born to the late Vernon D. & Lorene Merryman Hughes and departed this life June 24, 2026 at the age of 95 years, 2 month, and 5 days. Janet married the love of her life, George Douglas Tucker, on December 29, 1949. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2026. Together they shared more than 76 wonderful years of marriage.

In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by her son, Son, Mark Edwin Tucker. Janet was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lafayette.

Survivors include: Daughter, Sharon Flannagin & Husband, Micky of Lafayette, Son, George Hughes Tucker & wife, Jacqueline of Portland, Niece, Lori Tucker Cameron of Lebanon.
