Karen Warner

Karen Draper Warner, age 74 of Belmont, North Carolina formerly of Lafayette, TN, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Levine-Dixon Hospital in Huntersville, NC.

Funeral Services for Karen Draper Warner will be conducted Saturday morning, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Ottis Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Nephews and friends served as pallbearers.

Karen Draper Warner was born March 7, 1952 in Macon County, TN, a daughter born to the late Edward “Dewey” Draper & Nancy “Mazell” Bohanon Draper and departed this life June 20, 2026 at the age of 74 years, 3 months, and 13 days.

Karen married the love of her life, James Michael Warner, III, March 15, 1986. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2025. They shared 39 wonderful years together. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Ray Draper.

Karen worked with the EMT service and she was a homemaker. She proudly served in the Tennessee National Guard for nine years. She was a member of Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Sons, James “Jim” Michael Warner IV & wife, Daphne, Matthew Edward Warner all of Belmont, NC; Sister, Judy Driver & husband, Kevin of Lafayette, Niece, Kim Oldham, Nephew, Kristifer Dillehay & wife, Rebecca, as well as several great nieces and great nephews.
