She lived a simple but rich life on the farm with Wick, where she helped tend the farm, maintain their home, and lovingly cared for their four children.  Amidst the rigors of life she found time to enjoy sewing, quilting and crocheting, and perfected her art over the years.  Several fine afghans, quilts and other crafts still adorn her home and those close to her.
She demonstrated her lifelong service to God in her passion for life and love for her family.  When asked, any of her loved ones can recall many fond memories of Ruth and Wick, including long talks in the living room, breaking beans in the front yard for canning, picking vegetables in the garden, or just enjoying a cool evening sitting on the porch.  Perhaps the most memorable of times though were any of her home-cooked meals.  Whether it was beans and cornbread during any summer dinner or a holiday turkey and dressing; it was always prepared by hand and tasted heavenly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wick Knight; father Walter “Watt” Tuck, mother Virgie (Smith) Tuck, grandchildren Barry Colin Knight and Penelope Lane Hall, brothers Eldon and Harold Tuck, and sister Lucille Gammon.
She is survived by: Daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Kiley Hall, Jr. of Red Boiling Springs, Sons & daughters-in-law Jack and Velvie Knight, Jimmy Knight, Wickie and Rose Knight, all of Lafayette, 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
