RBS Travels to Family Christian Nov. 23

The Red Boiling Springs High School Basketball teams traveled to Hooptown on November 23, 2010, to face the teams of Family Christian Academy.

In the girls game… The Lady Bulldogs opened the challenge with a 14-10 lead over FCA, and by halftime, RBS held a huge 36-12 advantage. At the end of the fourth quarter, Red Boiling Springs picked up their fifth consecutive win by a final score of 71-31.

Morgan Burgener and Layce Colter led the team to victory with 18 points each, followed by Katie Hix with eight points, Mackenzie Painter seven points, Heather Jenkins seven points, Kalisha Lynch six points, Marina Evans five points, and Hannah Hollis with two points.

In the boys game… The Bulldogs led the opening quarter with a 14-10 advantage, and by halftime the Red & Grey extended their lead 37-25. Dominating the last two rounds, RBS claimed their fifth consecutive win over FCA by a final score of 72-47.

Wes Grace led the team to victory with a total of 29 points, followed by Allen Kirk with 14 points, Isaiah Washington with 13 points, Shelton Watson and Jordan Meador with five points each, and Jordan Grace and Andrew Mullinix with three points each.

Red Boiling Springs will host Clay County on November 30, 2010. Game time 6 p.m.
