He was known as “Side Burns”, he worked for Osh Kosh B’Gosh for many years in the finishing department in Celina.

He also worked for Clay Co. Solid Waste. He was a farmer, mechanic, loved to fish, and member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Blakley was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky, on November 12, 1945 to the late Walter and Eliva Scott Blakley. Survivors include, sons, Jamie Blakley of Celina, TN, Gary Blakley of Hestand, KY and Barry Blakley of Moss, TN, sister, Edith Strong of Celina, TN
brothers, Junior Blakley, Hiley Blakley and Rocky Blakley all of Celina, TN, five grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Gail Blakley, who passed away July 16th 2008, son Shane Blakley, and brothers Thomas and Hawey Jean Blakley. Funeral Services were held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Celina, TN. With Brother Ronnie Parsons officiating. Interment was in the Ashlock Cemetery.
