 Don’t let anyone ever tell you that hard work and determination don’t pay off. For MCHS Senior Calamity Jane Coley, she is going to get to benefit from some of her blood, sweat, and tears.

Many people say that it is great to come home again. For first year MCHS Head Baseball Coach Juan Clariday, home is where his heart is, as he faced the cross-county rival Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs to open this season.

Just about everyone loves breakfast. The Macon County Football Booster Club held its annual ham breakfast this past Saturday, March 10th, 2012. It was the sixteenth year for the fundraiser, held to raise money for the football program at Macon County High School.   

Sometimes things just aren’t meant to be. This past week the Macon County High School Tigerettes battled their way thru Region 5AA play and into the Sub-State at Waverly Central High School.

MCHS Head Football Coach Mark Pemberton resigned Monday March 5th at the Macon County Board of Education. 

The Red Boiling Springs Lady Bulldogs would take on Watertown girls for third place in the district tournament last Monday night and in a very hard fought game were to pull away in the fourth quarter for a 48-35 victory that was a lot closer than the score indicates.

Macon County would face a very hot Greenbrier Bobcat team in the finals of the District 9 AA Tournament. MCHS would then face David Lipscomb in the first round of Region 5AA tournament play.

On Feb 20th, the Macon County Tigerettes defeated Westmoreland to capture the District 9AA Tournament Title. They went on to host the first round of the Region 5AA at home.
