MCHS Girls XC takes Third in the State

  By Mark Darnell    The MCHS Girls finished in 3rd place in the 2011 TSSAA, A-AA State Cross Country meet. The State Meet was held Saturday, November 5 at the Steeplechase Course at Nashville’s Percy Warner Park. Thursday October 27, Macon County’s Girls won the Region 5 A-AA title on the same course.

    The Macon County Boys and Girls Cross Country competed in the Region 5 A-AA meet Thursday, October 27 at the Steeplechase Course at Percy Warner Park in Nashville. The Macon County Girls finished first, winning their first Region Championship since 2002.

   MCHS Schoolboy Austin Williams was recognized as Outstanding Player in District 10 A-AA golf this week. Also Coach Beverly Shoulders was recognized as the “Coach of the Year” for both boys and girls golf in District 10 A-AA.
