The ladies from Macon County High School competed in the District 8AA Volleyball tournament this past week.
Goodpasture defeats Red Boiling Springs by a score of 35-0. This defeat drops the Bulldogs record to 1-5 for the season.
The MCHS Tigers win Homecoming 38-6 over the Cannon County Lions for their 1st home win of the season and move to 2-4 overall and 2-1 in district 8AA standings.
The Tigers defeat Prescott South Middle 34-14 to advance to the MTFC Championship game to face Livingston in a rematch.
Runners from Macon County High School and Macon County Junior High were in action this past week. Macon hosted a home mid-week meet and both teams traveled to Cookeville for the Ryan Burnett Invitational.
Last Thursday night Red Boiling Springs closed out their 2013 Jr. High Football season with a hard fought victory over the boys from Clinton County Ky. by a final score of 22-16.
The ladies from MCHS finish runners-up for the second year in a row at the TSSAA A/AA State Golf Tournament.
The Tigers fall to 1-3 on the season and 1-1 in district play after a 14-7 home loss to the Wildcats of Livingston Academy Friday night.
The Watertown Purple Tigers roll to victory to beat the Red Boiling Springs 41-7.
