By Tim Case The MCHS Tigers traveled to Westmoreland this past Friday night to take on the Eagle’s. The Tigers needed the win to secure a wildcard 4A playoff spot.
By Misty Green The Red Boiling Springs High School football team traveled to Trousdale County last Friday night, October 28, 2011 to play their final game of the regular season.
The Macon County Boys and Girls Cross Country competed in the Region 5 A-AA meet Thursday, October 27 at the Steeplechase Course at Percy Warner Park in Nashville. The Macon County Girls finished first, winning their first Region Championship since 2002.
MCHS Schoolboy Austin Williams was recognized as Outstanding Player in District 10 A-AA golf this week. Also Coach Beverly Shoulders was recognized as the “Coach of the Year” for both boys and girls golf in District 10 A-AA.
The Macon County Junior High Cross Country teams competed in the State Championships hosted by the Knoxville Track & Field Club in Knoxville this past weekend.
By Tim Case The MCHS Tigers (3-5) hosted the Livingston Academy Wildcats (7-1) last Friday night for the final regular season home game and parents’ night. The Tigers were in a must win situation to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Tigers responded with a shut out win 19-0.
