By B. J. West The JR High Dogs suffered a very disappointing loss Tuesday night in Cannon County. We lost 20 to 6.
The MCHS girls golf team took 4th place in the Class A-AA State Golf Championship held at Willowbrook Golf Club in Manchester, TN on 9/27/ and 9/28/2011.
The Macon County High School Volleyball team participated in a tournament at Karns High School in Knoxville, TN last weekend Sept 23rd and 24th. The tournament is called the “Rocky Top Classic.”
The MCHS and MCJHS Cross Country teams participated in the 17th Annual Ryan Burnett Memorial Invitational located at Cookeville High School on Saturday Oct. 1, 2011.
By: Misty Green The Red Boiling Springs High School Bulldogs football team welcomed Taft Youth Center last Friday night, September 23, for the 2011 Homecoming game, and fell (2-4) to the visiting Tigers in a complete shutout, with a final score of 28-0.
By Tim Case The MCHS Tigers traveled to Carthage Friday night to take on the Smith County Owls in a non-district rival game. The Owls entered the game with a 5-0 record and the Tigers 2-2.
The MCJH Tigers traveled to Hog-eye country Thursday September 22 , to take on the wildcats of Overton County Middle School.
On 9/19/11 the MCHS Golf team attended the Regional Tournament held at Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson, TN. There were 6 teams and 8 individuals at the tournament with a total of 23 girls and 38 boys playing. There was a 3 1/2 hour rain delay in starting but the weather held…
Macon County High School Cross Country ran at the Sharp Springs Invitational, held at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna Tennessee, Saturday, September 24.
The Macon County Jr High Girls Soccer team dropped their first loss of the year in a driving rain last week. Mt. Juliet Middle beat the Tigerettes by a score of 1-4. Coach Barry King said to keep your head up girls; we still have 5 games to go.
